Detachment / House of Usher

This is one of the most powerful set of words spoken in a movie. A movie that deals with the dilemma of attachment and detachment.

How very strange, that we struggle to stay away from the natural instinct of attachment. All our lives, we learn and unlearn the art of unloving as a form of defence. We practice being hostile, we rehearse indifference, as if we're constantly trying to warp into another kind of species altogether. Something we're not even meant to be. Humans, us, we're designed to love. We're designed to fall in love and be broken. More than order, our lives revolve around chaos but how beautiful that we get up, from the ashes of misery, only to love again, while constantly struggling to ace the art of detachment.
